I want a Digital SLR camera. I have been look on ebay for Canon and a few Nikon’s have crossed my eye.
I have looked on craigslist as well
The digital camera (point and shoot) i have now is a fujifilm and 10 megapixels. So i was trying to get at least 10 or 12 MP in the SLR.
I just do not really know what i should be looking for in a SLR besides MP and the Lenses
Also where can i get a good one that doesnt cost a arm and leg as i do not even have a arm to spare right now ?

I was thinking about getting a Fujifilm FinePix S1000fd. They’re down to like $170 online. But I just want some other options too. Cheaper for the best quality is best! I’d love links too!
I’m an amateur photography fan. I have a Panasonic Lumix fx2 ultra compact camera and I want to obtain a better one with more control on picture. I have decided to buy a Nikon d40 but I noticed that I shall buy more accessories for it and it may become heavier than every day and every where use. I suddenly understood that Fujifilm S5800 SLR Like camera is very cheap and now I want to know what kind of a camera it is? is it good enough to take good and may be professional like pictures? does it have image stabilizer and if not , is it bothering for this reason? any suggestions will be appreciated.
Is it important that this camera has no image stabilizer and the shutter speed is limited to 4 _ 1/1000 second?
i’ve been into photography for a few years, and i’ve managed with my fujifilm finepix s700 and I love that camera, but I’m at a point now where I need an slr-I have a photography class and digital imaging class.
what is a good slr in the 600 range?

I looked at the D40 but apparently it’s lacking an auto focus motor..and that’s a pain
